Shree Cutch Satsang Swaminarayan Academy is a non-profit school in Langata, Nairobi, serving learners from age 2 to 18. We deliver the British National Curriculum through Pearson Edexcel, offering IGCSE, International A-Level, and BTEC Extended Diploma qualifications recognized by universities and employers worldwide.
Founded and governed by the Shree Cutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple Trust, we exist for one reason: to provide quality international education that is accessible, not exclusive. We are not a business.
We have no shareholders. Every shilling of school fees is reinvested into teaching, facilities, and student development.
Both our campuses sit in Langata, off the Southern Bypass, with easy access from Karen, South C, South B, Madaraka, Nairobi West, and the wider Nairobi South corridor. The school grounds include full academic facilities, science laboratories, ICT suites, a library, and a multi-sport complex that rivals private clubs.
Our History
SCSSA Academy was founded in 2014. Our first IGCSE cohort was June of 2017. SCSSA Academy was accredited by Pearson in 2015.
SCSSA BTEC was launched in 2020.The school is set to expand to a new campus in September 2026.
Board of Governors
The school is governed by a Board of Governors appointed by the Shree Cutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple Trust. The Board provides strategic oversight, financial accountability, and policy direction.
Respect
For self, for peers, for teachers, for the campus. Students address adults properly. They listen when others speak. They treat school property and each other’s belongings with care. Disrespect is addressed immediately, not tolerated until it escalates.
Responsibility
Students own their learning. They arrive on time, come prepared, submit work by deadlines, and accept consequences when they fall short. We teach accountability early because the world doesn’t offer second chances for missed deadlines.
Discipline
Clear rules. Consistent enforcement. No ambiguity. Students know what is expected, and they know what happens when expectations are not met. Our progressive discipline framework is transparent to students and parents alike.
International-standard education typically costs KES 800,000-2,000,000 per year in Nairobi. SCSSA delivers the same Pearson Edexcel qualifications at a fraction of that cost. The Trust subsidizes infrastructure. There is no profit margin built into your fees.
British Curriculum, Locally Delivered
We are a registered Pearson International Centre. Students sit the same examination papers as learners in the UK. Their grades carry the same weight on a UCAS application, a US Common Application, or an East African university submission.
Our ethos is rooted in the Swaminarayan faith: non-violence, vegetarianism, service, and moral discipline. Students of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome. We ask only that families respect the campus values: strict vegetarian environment, no alcohol or tobacco, respectful conduct.
Complete Sports Infrastructure
Padel courts, cricket nets, astro turf, gym, sauna, volleyball, football pitch, indoor arena. Facilities that most schools don’t have, and that most sports clubs charge for membership. Your child accesses all of this as part of their school life.
